Farmhouse

The extension and reconfiguration of a traditional farmhouse in North Yorkshire. A tired and pokey farmhouse was reinvigorated by the addition of a rear extension and reordered internally to form a generous kitchen diner with separate sitting room at ground floor with three ensuite bedrooms above. The building was highly insulated and undefloor heating installed throughout, powered by ground source heat from the adjacent fields. A new purpose designed staircase was inserted and new windows were detailed to match originals.
