Conversion of a large disused barn in North Yorkshire to holiday let. Six spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms are placed on the ground floor, with a further ensuite bedroom and large living / dining / kitchen space at first floor. The refurbishment included reroofing in stone slates, stabilising and repointing masonry and the insertion of limited carefully placed new openings. The external envelope was highly insulated and the whole building heated by gound source from adjacent fields. New joinery including windows and a new staircase was purpose designed.
